Off the Charts!

I believe you were promised a return around April 5th but I feel like the 7th is close enough right?! We have a lot to catch up on so I think we are going to be posting TWO blogs at some point...don't get your hopes up that it will happen very quickly...apparently we have a busy month of fun! Okay let's see...first things first our children were confirmed yet again of being perfect. Of course we LOVE to hear this because not only do we obviously agree but it also means they are healthy as well. For their 9 month appointment the girls are quickly learning that shots are not fun and require much more entertaining then before. The doctor also complimented Dan on his frequent appearances...apparently not all dads love to come to the doctor all the time. I think he is a pretty awesome dad though. :)

Okay so the stats:

Emily:

Weight - 19 lbs 8 oz (60%)
Height - 28 inches (60%...or this might be 69...his handwriting is horrible)
Head - 18 1/2 inches (>97%...off the charts baby!!)

Lucy:

She has officially taken the lead!
Weight - 20 lbs 10 oz (80%)
Height - 29 inches (90%)
Head - 18 3/4 inches (>97%...once again off the charts)

So as you can see, Lucy has officially surpassed her sister. We started to notice this more and more in the pictures and when they stand next to each other...it is adorable. This does pose a potential problem with my coordinating outfits because Lucy is pretty much ready for 12 months clothes while Emily is still hanging out in 9 months but that's okay. I can switch things up too. :)

Okay so since moving to Minnesota, as you have seen before, Dan and I have developed a love for hockey. We were able to go to one game before but on the 23rd of March Bob was officially introduced to the Minnesota Wild! Thank you to Julie and Jean (her mom) for coming over to babysit the ladies!!

Although I realize now we didn't take a picture with the three of us so really you don't even know if Bob was there! He was...and the Wild won!

Next up on our 6-7 weeks of fun and craziness is our lovely Easter weekend! This year we finally had a reason to celebrate the holiday because we had some visitors...and some babies (obviously). Grandma Mary Jane, Aunt Jennifer, and Aunt Elizabeth all came to join in the fun!

The Easter bunny brought the girls a stuffed bunny and a new rattle.

I The Easter bunny bought them the exact same items, however, there was quickly a battle to take the other's toys...because why not?! As you can see they also have an awesome mom who made sure they were rocking bunny feet on their pajamas as well.

For the big day we also celebrated with a fabulous breakfast. I gave Dan some Pinterest inspiration and this is what he came up with:

Who doesn't love bunny pancakes?!

Remember how I mentioned he was an awesome dad?! Example #2!

Then in the afternoon we of course made everyone color Easter eggs because obviously that only makes sense...although we didn't realize how low on vinegar we were so our bright colors quickly turned into pastels but that's okay:

Emily got mad and wanted to do it herself.

Apparently we don't have the finished product but they were all beautiful! Finally for our big day we ending with a fabulous dinner of steaks and sides galore!

I believe the girls even got turkey and sweet potatoes which is one of their favorites so everyone lucked out! We will include more fun pictures of the visitors below. :)

As for what the girls are up to lately, you will quickly see from our pictures they are standing (while holding things for the most part) like crazy and also "cruising". In case you want to sound like you know the cool kids lingo...it means they hold onto things, such as furniture, and walk around. Needless to say our cuddly kids are no more and they are constantly on the move!

Zeus's new duties...watching babies!

Lucy is showing you her mad cruising skills.

They have also begun to be introduced to some real solids AND water so it has been a big couple of weeks:

So like we mentioned before, they are growing like weeds!!! We will be back in a little bit (anywhere between a week and a month) with the 10 month pictures...can you believe they are already 10 months?!?!? For now, enjoy some visitor pictures plus some more tub pictures because how cute are they?!?!

Then of course everyone gets a picture with both...although I believe we were having trouble getting some smiles but still adorable:

  1. Thank you Jennifer, we had an awesome time visiting with all of you. Although the girls look like they were terrified of their grandma Mary Jane! They were great fun
