November Recap

Happy Holiday season everyone! Sorry for the delay. I know Dan promised last time that we would be catching up. Apparently we failed...well let's be honest, Dan failed. :) Okay so what happened in the entire month of November?! Let me tell you :)

First, of course the girls turned 5 months old. Can you believe it?!

Emily

Lucy

This was one of the more entertaining picture months. Their personalities are definitely starting to come out plus we are able to get a few smiles here and there. They have mastered the art of rolling over and are currently working on sitting up. They both love to "talk" and Lucy still loves to laugh. Emily makes you work for her occasional giggles but she smiles like it is her job. Emily is still our dramatic one while Lucy likes to sit back and laugh...sometimes even at jokes she shouldn't quite understand yet so that could be interesting. This month they also completed their first act of civil duty! They decided they wanted to help both Dan and I vote in the presidential election.

They have asked us not to disclose who they voted for this year but they were pretty confident in their decisions. Lucy disagreed with her dad but they worked it out in the end. :)

We also had another round of visitors! It seems like it has been awhile right?! Great-Grandma Vickers, Grandma Mary Jane, Aunt Elizabeth, and Great-Aunt Patty  stopped by for a quick trip.

There were trips to the Mall of America (of course) and a few meals to be had. Of course the girls always love having extra attention :)

They also decided this month that they really wanted to help celebrate Movember. Since they can't grow mustaches themselves...they decided to rock them in other ways:

These were a huge hit at daycare and of course there is a chance they may now have some matching onesies to rock next time they wear them. :)

Finally, the other big moment for the month was the introduction of solid foods! We started them out with rice cereal but have since moved to oatmeal. They have also tried green beans, sweet potatoes, bananas and carrots. We have determined that at this time Emily seems to hate everything, however, Lucy loves sweet potatoes and carrots. Although Bob and Dan claim that one night while I was gone Lucy also appeared to get super excited about bananas but I think she just gets excited to eat overall.

Ready for the first meal:

The first bites:

And what they thought:

They are both turning into eating champs...although you can't really go wrong when you bowls help make sure you are number 1!

IU!

Apparently Dan forgot that Thanksgiving also happened so we will be adding more pictures later. I won't promise any timelines this time. We also have a few videos that we will attempt to share as well! I am sure as they continue to get more and more chatty they will become a theme so you can enjoy the laughs as much as we do! Of course I will leave you with a few funny pictures! Happy Saturday everyone!

1st attempt at funny faces!

Dang it, you caught me!
